How did the second camp (2016) manage to get the actual podiums from presidential debates? Initially they were thought to be from romney vs obama/palin vs biden/mccain vs obama (2008-2012); but with further inspection they were used from 1992 to 2004; the "classic" period for debates. George W Bush used both podiums surprisingly, the one on the left in 2004 (also used by Gore, Dole, Bush's father, and Perot) and the one on the right in 2000 (also used by bill clinton and Perot)
